This systematic review and meta-analysis investigates whether imaging-based airway abnormalities are associated with future disease activity and respiratory decline. It aims to assess whether chest imaging can provide clinically useful prognostic information, helping identify patients who may be at higher risk for exacerbations, persistent symptoms, or worsening pulmonary function.
